Jackie Wayne Smith, 60, died unexpectedly after years of heart issues on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at his residence in the Palmetto Community. Jack was born on Feb. 13, 1958 in Tupelo to the late Lindon and Bobbie Landsdell Smith. He lived in Lee County all his life where he worked for over 15 years in the furniture industry before becoming disabled. His fellow workers admired and respected him for his skills and his solid work ethic. Jack enjoyed God’s creation, all the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed watching TV especially westerns.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 5 PM Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the
Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with family pastor, Dr. Tim Brown, of East Heights Baptist
Church officiating. Visitation will be from 4 PM-service time Wednesday only at Holland Funeral

Jack leaves behind his daughter, Gina Smith of Amory; his brothers, Andy Smith and wife, Amanda of
Pontotoc, Keith Smith and wife, Theresa of Tupelo and Danny Smith of Tupelo. a sister, Peggy Warren and
husband, Bill of Mooreville. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
