Jackie Thomas Saint, age 70, of Russellville, passed away on Monday 09, 2020 at North Alabama Medical Center. He was born on June 08, 1949 to Hollis and Eloise Saint.
Jackie worked for 26 years as a sewing machine mechanic at HD Lee. He was a member of the Tharptown Church of Christ. He was not only Jane’s husband but he was her best friend and they enjoyed 51 years together. He loved his wife, his kids, and especially his grandchildren. He loved to hunt and fish, and always enjoyed shooting birds with the grandchildren.
The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Spry Memorial Chapel and burial will follow at Bethsaida Cemetery. Officiating at the service will be Bro. Shane McGregor.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hollis Saint; his mother, Eloise Vandiver Saint; brothers, William Edward Saint, Hollie Glen Saint; father-in-law, Billy Ross; brother-in-law, Bubba Underwood; and sister-in-law, Linda Underwood.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 51 years, Jane Ross Saint; children, Deanna Saint of Chattanooga, TN, Chris Saint (wife, Brandy) of Spruce Pine, Josh Saint of Russellville; grandchildren, Hunter Saint, Zoey Saint; mother-in-law, Opal Ross; brother-in-law, Don (Donna) Ross; sister-in-law, Terri Saint, Linda Underwood; nephews, Chase Ross, Nick Ross, Bratie Underwood; and niece, Sherrie Saint.
The pallbearers will be Bratie Underwood, Nick Vandiver, Jeremy Lane, Jeremy Glenn, Erik Fuller, Damon Hacker, and Don Ross. The honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Saint, Daniel Pace, and Carson Pace.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Lyman Mitchell, Dr. Heaton, Dr. Matthew and their staff, as well as to all the nurses and staff of North Alabama Medical Center 5th Floor, Palliative Care, and the Critical Care Unit for the love and care to our family.
