Jackie Rayburn Harrison, 76, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital.

Funeral service will be Friday, August 9, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Family Baptist at Parkway Funeral Home with Dewey Champion, Dennis Terry and Chuck Weaver officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Family Baptist.

Jack was the son of the late Roy and Lena Harrison of Central City, Kentucky. Most of his childhood was spent in Akron, Ohio. After serving in the South Pacific in the Air Force, Jack entered the ministry. He helped establish and pastored at a number of churches in Ohio and Alabama. He most recently pastored at Salem Baptist Church in New Lexington, Alabama. Jack was a generous and devoted man, dedicated to his family and his faith. He was a member of Family Baptist Church in Trinity.

He is survived by his wife of 55 and a half years, Betty Harrison; two sons, Charles Edward Harrison of Tuscaloosa and Robert Steven Harrison of Trinity; two daughters, Beth Anne Harrison of Trinity and Sally Kate Harrison of Smyrna, Tennessee; one brother, William Harrison of Dayton, Ohio; one sister, Janith Faye Smith of Cabot, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Eric Bobo, Emily Robinson, Damon Harrison, Joe White, Corey White, Chip Harrison, Grace Harrison, Lucy Kate Carr and Harrison Carr; stepgranddaughter, Korrie Myles; and three great-grandchildren, Nick Robinson, Zoey Robinson and Eli White.

Pallbearers will be Chip Harrison, Eric Bobo, Damon Harrison, Joe White, Corey White, Harrison Carr and Brandon Carr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Harrison, James England, JaryLynn Milligan, A.O. Halbrooks, Lamar Collins, Ray Warren and Bobby Piland.
