Jackie Lawrence “J.L.” Farris,, age 90, Haleyville, AL. passed away Sunday August 29, 2021. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a retired Welder, late he retired as a Rural Letter Carrier with the US Postal Service. He was a member of Sunny Home Baptist Church, and also attended Corinth Heights Baptist Church. Jack had a passion for Gold Wing Motorcycles, he and his son, Kevin took a trip to Alaska on their motorcycles. He was a vendor for motorcycle seats.
Graveside service will be Thursday September 2, 2021 at 12:00Noon at Sunny Home Baptist Church Cemetery in Haleyville, AL., with Bro. Larry Dover officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers will be M.L. Weaver, Tim Mayhall, Hollis Miles, Wayne Rushing and Vic Steele.
He is survived by his children, Mitzi Farris McNutt and Kevin Farris; a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frazier Farris and Josie Pearl Farris; brother, Joe Farris.
