Jackie “Kenneth” Spiers – Obituary

Jackie, 66 of Double Springs, entered into rest on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Lakeland Community Hospital.

Mr. Spiers was born on June 9, 1947 in Colbert County, Alabama. He served in the United States Army for two years during the Vietnam War.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Double Springs, where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am. Reverend Coy Morgan and Reverend Danny Page will officiate. Burial will follow in Henryfield FCM Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jettie V. Spiers; daughter, Sherry S. (Brian K.) Fincher; brother, Larry (Cozette) Pickens; sisters, Linda (Aubrey) Henderson, Betty (Johnny) Baldy and Connie (Ricky) Abbott. He was “PawPaw” to two grandchildren, Bailee Fincher and Emma Fincher.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, James Spiers, mother, Eva Pickens, step-father, Hariam Pickens; brothers, Doyle Spiers, Jerome Pickens, Ronnie Pickens, Henry Lee Spiers and James Ruby Spiers
