On January 13, 2025 Jackie Ann Beaty-Carter moved on to be with the lord after a long hard battle with cancer. Born in Salina, Kansas at Schilling Air Force Base. Jackie was the first child born to Jack and Janice Beaty. She is preceded in death by her beloved mother Janice Beaty. She is survived by her father Jack Beaty Sr. and her siblings, June Mangold, Samantha Smith, Kimberly Jones, Jack Beaty Jr., Christopher Beaty and each of their spouses and children. Also surviving are her three children Courtney Robert Carter III, Jack Shawn Foster Carter, and Ginny Ann Carter. She would always say that they are her most precious and greatest accomplishment in life!
Jackie was an amazing woman with such a beautiful soul. Her kindness and generosity knew no limits. Jackie’s favorite pass time was working in the yard, be it a flower bed or a garden. There was not one plant, tree, or seed that she couldn’t get to grow. She loved all of Gods creatures, big and small. if ever she found one injured or in need she would rescue it, take it home, and nurse it until it was ready to be released back into the wild. She had many pets over the years and each one was properly spoiled and always considered a family member. Her favorite animal had always been the Elephant because they are gentle giants and they never forget. Although not much of a drinker, Jackie would occasionally enjoy heading out to a bar or Pool Hall with her personal cue in hand, ready to compete with others in a game of billiards. She would pass this love of billiards down to her children. Her all-time favorite thing in the world was spending time with her grandbabies, even when they grew up and were no longer babies! She loved them so very much and was very proud to be called Meemaw! She never failed to display the strength in her character and prove that no matter how hard life was at any time, that she was harder!
In the early 90’s Jackie graduated college and became a police officer in the city of Savannah, Georgia. From there she took a break to focus on her children and helping with their schooling. By the early 2000’s she was back in law enforcement again. She trained to be a corrections officer in Forsyth Georgia and passed with flying colors. She then started her career at Coastal State Prison, where she remained for years until an injury on the job forced her to resign. But that didn’t stop her either, she went on to take courses from home, earning herself several certifications in many different files of study. Nothing could stop her!
Jackie was so passionate about so many things in life and she was not afraid to go above and beyond if a situation called for it. A long time ago, one of her parrots had escaped to the outside and flew to the highest branch of a Georgia Pine. To get him down Jackie had to climb up the tree. So, she grabbed a belt, wrapped it around her wrist, threw it around the tree to her other hand and shimmied, barefooted, to the top to rescue the parrot and bring it back down. She was fearless, courageous, selfless, honest, funny, friendly, caring and loving.
Our loss has become Heaven’s gain!

A celebration of life will be planned for her in the coming months. Anyone interested in joining us to give praise and show love to such a beautiful and unique soul is encouraged to reach out to her daughter, Ginny Carter, at gin22286.gc@gmail.com.
