Jack R. Napier Sr. – Obituary

Funeral service for Jack R. Napier Sr. age 80 of Hartselle will be Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church of Hartselle with Brother Tim Clark officiating with burial in the Hartselle City Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 12:00noon until service time on Wednesday at the Church.

 

Mr. Napier, who died on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at his home, was born February 6, 1937 in Harlan, Kentucky to Denver Carl Napier and Annie Shepard Napier and was preceded in death by his wife; Phyllis Napier. Jack was a member of the Fishers of Men, was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman who loved to fish tournaments and watch fishing weigh-ins. He enjoyed watching golf, car races, football and Kentucky basketball. Jack was retired from Ingall’s Shipyard and attended First Christian Church.

He is survived by a son; Jack R. Napier Jr (Lavonda), a daughter; Debbie Napier Queen (Alan), 2 grandchildren; Ross Napier and Wilder Queen (Cristina) and 2 great-grandchildren; Elijah Finn Queen and Jonas Samuel Queen.

 

Charles Clemons, Don Garner, Don Pouncey, Charlie Pridmore, Doug Stephenson and Ed Teague will serve as pallbearers.

 

Robert Clemons, Morris Wayne Edmundson and Lane Pearce will serve as Honorary pallbearers.
