Jack Leon Poag, age 90, of Sheffield, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012. The graveside service will be Saturday, July 27 at 1:00 p.m. at Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery.
Jack was a member of the Church of Christ. He was also a U.S. Navy “SeaBees” veteran having served in World War II, a member of the Masons, York Rite, Scottish Rite Shriners, Veteran of Foreign Wars, Disable American Veterans, and Plumbers and Steamfitters local #760. He was retired with UAITF for over 26 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Sullivan Poag.
Survivors include his children, Jane Davis (Wayne), Jean Horton (Mike), and Jack Poag Jr. (Regina); grandchildren, Cory Davis (Heather), Casey Kiser (Jason), Camby Dowdy (Jerome), Dr. Michael Horton, Courtney Hargett (Douglas), Megan Peckham (David), Anna Kate Poag, Taylor Poag, and Parker Poag (Mareth); fourteen great-grandchildren.
