Funeral for Jack “Houston” McMillan, 89, of Moulton will be Sunday, May 11, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. at Aldridge Grove Church of Christ with O.D. Bowling and James Bryant officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Aldridge Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the church. 

Mr. McMillan, who died Thursday, May 8, 2014, at his residence, was born June 13, 1924, in Lawrence County to Andrew Benton “Ben” McMillan and Natha Aldridge McMillan. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and a retired operator for Monsanto. He was a member of Aldrige Grove Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Annie Margaret McWhorter and Nelda Jacobs. 

Survivors include his wife, Sue Alexander McMillan; one son, Jack McMillan and Avon of Decatur; one daughter, Joyce Kirksey and Bob of Moulton; grandson, Shane Jackson and Jennie of Falkville; and great-grandson, Houston Jackson.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Aldridge, David Walker, Shane Jackson, Larry Speake, Odell Alred and Jake Walker.
