Jack Grindstaff, 71, of Madison, passed away Monday. Jack was a loving father and friend to all. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1987 as a CWO4 after proudly serving 24 years on active duty. Upon retirement from the Army, he worked as an engineer for another 20 years, retiring as a senior systems engineer with Lockheed Martin. Jack was preceded in death by his dear wife, Kim, his parents, and three brothers.
Survivors include his fiancé, Vicky Galloway of Madison; son, James Grindstaff of Madison; grandson, Kwan, of Sanford, ME; nephews, Marc of Wichita, KS, Gary of Hesston, KS, Gene of Canyon City, CO, and Aaron (Rita) of Gadsden, AL; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Cancer Society.
