Jack Benny Prance, age 81, of Albertville passed away September 4, 2019. A visitation will be held September 8, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm At Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, with the funeral service at 3:00 pm with Jerry Darnell officiating, burial will follow in Marshall Memorial Gardens. Jack married his high school sweetheart, Judy Holder, after graduating from Albertville High School in 1956. He was employed at Bell South as a repairman/lineman and retired from South Central Bell after 35 years as a cable splicer. After retiring, he was a farmer for an additional 20 years selling produce, cut flowers, and muscadines at local farmer’s markets. His hobbies included camping, hunting and fishing, creating archery equipment, and hand crafting knives. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Judith “Judy” of Albertville; daughters Shelia Prance (Berry French) of Franklin, Kentucky and Penny Anerton (Darrel) of Athens, Alabama; granddaughters Nita Mayes (Matt) and Leigh Anerton; great-granddaughters Taeja Mayes and Brianna Mayes; He was preceded in death by his parents Luther and Nadine Prance of Albertville, and brother David Prance of Boaz. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Shepherds Cove Hospice of Albertville or a charity of your choice.
