Jack Amburn, age 82, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023, in Jackson. Mr. Amburn, the husband of Alice Cain Amburn, was born on September 16, 1942, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Charles E. Amburn and Flossie Patrick Amburn. He was a retired self-employed painter and carpenter. Mr. Amburn was a fantastic husband, father, and grandfather, a devout Christian man, and he loved his family dearly. He was also very humorous, especially with his “Jack’s jokes old folks.”
Mr. Amburn is survived by his wife, Alice Cain Amburn; one son: Michael Walker (Tamar); one daughter; Maggie Alexander (the late Steve), and 14 grandchildren: Matthew, Mayce, Michael, Samantha, Rhythm, Symphony, Harmony, Mary Kate, Steven, Mason, Melissa, Simon, Sean, Sarah Anne; one great grandchild, Xander; and his best friend, Tommie Moorehead. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Huber; and a grandchild, Memphis.
