J.W. McKinney Jr., 86 of Athens, passed away on Sunday, November 27th, 2022, at his home surrounded by family.
J.W. was born on May 22nd, 1936, to Fannie Lee and John Woody McKinney.
J.W. is survived by his wife of 68 years, Doris McKinney; his sons Randy McKinney (Beth), and Jeff McKinney (Teresa); grandchildren Hunter McKinney, Joshua McKinney, Jordan McKinney, Coner McKinney (Ramsey), and Dalton McKinney; several half brothers and sisters; and a niece Debra Moore (Terry).
J.W. is preceded in death by his parents and brother Buford McKinney.
Funeral services for J.W. will be Friday, December 2nd, 2022, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00-1:45pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Limestone Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be grandchildren Hunter McKinney, Joshua McKinney, Jordan McKinney, Coner McKinney, and Dalton McKinney, and Travis Lewter.
