Mr. J. H. “Dude” Keeton, 78, of Benton, KY passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at his home.
He was born on November 3, 1940 in Florence, AL to the late James Henry Keeton and Mollie Jane Watkins Keeton. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Ted (Dorothy) Keeton, Earl Kenneth Keeton, Vernon Keeton, Edward (Elaine) Keeton; one sister, Edith Mae “Toochie” Keeton; and granddaughter, Sarah Staggs.
He is survived by three sons, Wayne “Hammer” Keeton of Lawrenceburg, TN, Timothy Keeton (Tonya) of Benton, Billy Joe Hood (Sondra) of Lawrenceburg, TN; four daughters, Janie Imogene Brewer (Danny), Ann Fisher, Tammy Hampton (Donald), Christina Hollis, all of Lawrenceburg, TN; twelve grandchildren, Anthony Fisher, Ashley Cooper, Jamie Meadows, Shelby Keeton, Adona Hampton, Shawna Hampton, Deanna Hampton, Beth Boswell, Cheyenne Hollis, Devin Hood, Delana Hood and Tara Hood; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Joyce Keeton and Della Mae Keeton both of Summertown, TN.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Friday, April 26, 2019, with Odell Spears officiating. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN.
