J. E. Upton, 69, of Huntsville, passed away Monday. Mr. Upton was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 3263. Mr. Upton was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Ed Upton and Ruby Reagon and his brother, James F. Upton.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Upton; daughters, Ronda Mefford and husband Chris, Sandra Wood, Tammy Kuilderd and husband, Herold, Jenny Upton Clark and husband, Randall, and Jessica Eden Upton; grandchildren, Terry, Josh and Kayla Howell, Jaylynn Mace, Jeremy and Nikki Mosley, Jasmine Stott and Brianna Hardin, Micheal Browning, Austin Irwin, Jean and Jada Clark, and Christian Upton King; great-grandchildren, Braden and Noah Howell, Kevin Hatfield, Darlene Stott, and Micheal J. Browning; and sisters, Dianne Ives and Mary Anderson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Jimmy Brantley officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
