Wilson Funeral Home is sad to announce the death of J. Dale Cole, age 75 of the Loveless community on Lookout Mountain. He succumbed to natural causes after a long struggle with health issues.
He is preceded in death by parents, Carl and Marie Miller Cole; and oldest sister, Betty Ann Cole Boatwright; and brothers-in-law, Pelham Ables, Sidney Whitley, and Clarence Boatwright. He is survived by sisters, Dot Whitley and Jane Ables; brothers, David and Donald Cole; daughter, Tanya Cole Andrews (Husband Jarod) and grandchildren, Cole, Megan, James, Samuel, Kynslee, Isaac, Christian, and Mae Andrews; and son, Scott Cole (Wife Jerri) and grandchildren, Georgie and John Daniel Cole. He led a remarkable life of hard work, helping others, and raising his family as a single parent. He was a beloved son, brother, daddy, and grandfather. He will be sorely missed by all those he loved and to which he was so dedicated.
Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the Loveless Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. hour of service.
The family is accepting flowers, or memorial contributions may be made to Embrace Alabama Kids organization, the Ronald McDonald House or any organization supporting kids.
