J.D. Stanley, age 86, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015. Visitation will be today from noon-3 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel, with burial to follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens at 3 p.m. Brother Frank Mills will be officiating.
He was an ironworker who loved his family, dog, and football.
Mr. Stanley was preceded in death by parents, seven brothers and sisters, and a daughter-in-law.
Survivors are wife, Rachel; children, Bill Stanley, Sandy Gann (Duane), Felicia Baker (Tim), and Greg Stanley (Dallas); ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; stepdaughters, Donna Whitley and Emily Anderson (David); and three stepgrandchildren.
