J.C. Wales, 79, of Elkmont, Alabama passed away Friday, May 23, 2025, at his home with his children with him.
J.C. was born Monday, May 20, 1946, to the late William Henry and Dorothy Davis Wales.
J.C. proudly served his country in the USAF, from December 07, 1964, through February 01,1985. Retiring as an MSGT after 20 years. He then worked in the private sector for TRW in Huntsville, Alabama, from 1995 until his retirement in September 2001.
The most important thing in his life was family. He is the youngest of six children, the baby brother to his five sisters. J.C. is the proud father to his three children, grandfather, and great grandfather, as well as uncle too many nieces and nephews.
J.C. is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Irene Mitchell, one granddaughter, Courtney Rogers, as well as one grandson, Clifford Adams.
J.C. is survived by his three children, Tammy (Steve) Rogers, Sherry (Bill) Adams, Johnny (Amy) Wales, seven grandchildren; Steven Blake (Nikki) Rogers, Langly (Lindsay) Adams, Jeremy Adams, John (Chasity) Wales, James (Savannah) Wales, Justin Wales as well as Kaylee Wales, four sisters; Pauline Jones, Margaret Benefield, daisy (TL) Roper as well as Ann (Sam) Biggerstaff.
A visitation will be held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM. A Graveside Service at Hasting Cemetery will follow afterwards at 3:30 PM. Langly Adams will officiate the service.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
