J.B. Allen, 82, of Jasper, passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at his residence.
‘Pop’ was an avid Alabama football fan and loved his family dearly.
Visitation will be held Monday, Sept. 12, 2016, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Wayne Keeton will officiate. Burial will follow at Walker Memory Gardens.
Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his father, O.D. Allen; mother, Willie Freeman Allen; brother, Pervalee Allen; and sisters, Dellasa Hobbs and Margie Darty.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Joyce Loggains Allen; sons, Charles Allen, Philip Allen, Gien Allen, Dewayne Allen and Billy Allen; stepsons, Bobby Curtis, Gerald Curtis and David Curtis; brothers, Willie Allen, Bob Allen and Jimmy Allen (Della); sisters, Sue Myers and Georgia Guin (Ray); 16 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Michael Allen, Josh Owens, Danny Henderson, Mike Shedd, Skip Keeton and Jerry Maddox.
