J. A. Cook, Jr., age 89, of Boaz, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at his home.
His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Belchers Gap FCM Church. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Rev. Derrick Cook and Rev. Deon Black will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Sam Cook, Casey Cook, Aaron Ballance, Andrew Ballance, Derrick Cook, Brandon Miller, Seth Pack and Hayden Pack. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan, Malachi and Elijah Cook.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 until 8 at the funeral home.
He is survived by his daughter, Judy Ballance (Paul), sons, Chuck and Mark Cook, seventeen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, Paulette Cook, Lynette Cook and Lisa Cook, son-in-law, Sammie Miller and sister, Deloris Bowling.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Cook, sons, Steven, Daney, Jeff and Robert Cook, daughter, Jennie Miller, parents, Arthur and Beulah Cook.
