Ivalene Plyler Jones, age 95 of Parrish, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.
Mrs. Jones was a member of Valley View Church of Christ and taught children’s classes for 70 years. She graduated from Parrish High School and the University of Montevallo. Mrs. Jones was also a retired teacher from the Walker County Board of Education. Since retiring, she enjoyed gardening, traveling, and being with her family.
Graveside services will be Monday, July 10, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Plyler Cemetery in Parrish. Michael Garrison and Barrett Jones will officiate.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her Husband-Donald Lee Jones; Parents-Asa Monroe Plyler and Cleta Key Plyler; Brothers-Brodie and Leo Plyler; Sister-Selena Haynes, Sylvia Manasco, Janie Thomas, and Amileta Portzer; 2 infant sons.
She is survived by her Sons-Phillip(Judy) Jones and Dale(Pat) Jones; Daughter-Brenda(Michael) Garrison; Sisters-Floreda(Jim) Smith and Paula Alexander; Sister-in-laws-Mary Martha Hall and Paulette(Larry) Thompson; Grandchildren- Michelle(Brian), Mitchael(Samantha), Heath, Barret(Wendy), Trey, Jeffery, and Faith; 21 Great Grandchildren; A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
