Curtis Massey, 91, of Poplar Springs, passed away March 16, 2022 at Hendrix Health and Rehab.
Ivadean was born on April 5, 1930 in Rose Hill, Alabama to William Dayton Curtis and Maudie Louise Gober. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and faithful follower of her savior Jesus Christ.
A memorial service will be held Friday, March 18, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, AL.
She was survived by her sons, Deloit Wayne Massey (Helen); Jeff Massey, daughter, Martha Rice Dullaghan (Edward M); granddaughters Karla Wright (Anthony), Daphanie Richards (Ian), Nicole Mendez (Miguel), Marcie Thompson (Chris); Grandsons, Dustin Rice (Vanessa), Austin Joshua Massey, sixteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and one on the way with a host of nieces and nephews and numerous lifelong church family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lucian Massey; parents Dayton and Maudie Curtis; grandson, Brian Heath Rice; sister, Verlean Noles; brothers Cecil Curtis, Edwin Curtis, and Irving Hurbert Curtis.
