Iva Lee Motes Bloyd, 63 of Haleyville, entered into rest on November 13, 2015 at her residence.
Mrs. Bloyd was born on October 10, 1952 in Guin. Iva was a member of New Hope Baptist Church for 15 years and was a nursery worker. She was a 1971 graduate from Winfield City High School. Iva worked for 35 years at Tallahoma Manufacturing.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 12-2pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be held at 2pm. Burial will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Richie Emerson will officiate.
Iva is survived by her son, Gary Kevin Bloyd; daughter, Rachel Lee Pearl and her husband Kenneth Allen; sisters, Dorthy Motes Rye and her husband Roger Dale, and Betty Motes Brown. She was “Nana” to 4 grandchildren, Lexie Pearl, Brodie Pearl, Heaven Pearl, and Lakota Pearl.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Randell Bloyd; parents, Luther and Lela Motes; brother, Vernon Jay Motes, and sister, Mary Sue Dykes.
