Irvie William Loudermilk Sr, age 88 of Winchester, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, February 16, 2024. He was born in Michigan on May 17, 1935. Irvie brought his family to Tennessee in 1971 to do farming and then later became the owner of Custom Pools which he owned and operated for over fifty years. Irvie was a faithful member of the Little Mountain Church of Christ, where he served as an elder and deacon. Most of all, he was a family man who loved all family dinners and cherished the time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He was also a father figure for many others. Irvie was an avid baseball fan and he loved to travel, especially trips to Florida and in his younger years camping trips with his children. You could always find him at his table at Western Sirloin at noon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Inez Loudermilk; and siblings, Reba Fraley, Floyd Loudermilk, Lillie LaFever, and Ruth Flint. Irvie is survived by his loving wife of sixty-seven years, Faye Loudermilk; siblings, Barbara Montgomery, and Elsie (Hartmut) Stuhldrier; children, Irvie (Susan) Loudermilk, Hal (Tresa) Loudermilk, Glenda (Tommy) Terrill, Roy (Joyce) Loudermilk, Bonnie (Greg) Morris, Clara (Johnny) Yates, Thomas (Shannon) Loudermilk, and Paul (Dawn) Loudermilk; grandchildren, Rebecca Loudermilk, Tiffany Terrill, Kelli Yates, Lee (Brandye) Terrill, Amanda (Michael) Bishop, Lela Loudermilk, Tyler Loudermilk, Christopher Loudermilk, Clayton (Olivia) Loudermilk, and Shelby Loudermilk; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Monday, February 19, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home and from 12-2pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Little Mountain Church of Christ, 710 Old Holders Cove Road, Winchester. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Little Mountain Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens. The family requests memorial donations be made to Little Mountain Ministry Camp, 710 Old Holders Cove Road, Winchester, TN 37398 or to the Franklin County Christian Memorial Foundation.
