Iris Michele "Mickey" GoldenNo words can express our sorrow and heartbreak that our sweet Mickey lost her battle to cancer. Mickey was both beautiful inside and out, she had a heart of gold. She never met a strange and was always willing to offer a helping hand. She enjoyed life so much and was always up for an adventure.  She loved Alabama football and followed every NFL team an Alabama player was on.

She graduated from S.R. Butler High School in 1968 and a graduate of Alverson Draughon Business College. She was well known throughout the bowling community. When she was 10 years of age, she joined a youth bowling league at Parkway Lanes. Her love for bowling lead her to coaching youth bowlers for over 25 years. Every Saturday morning, she would always make a point of giving all her youth bowlers a hug. She would always smile when talking about her youth bowlers. She was a member of the Huntsville Women’s Bowling Association and served on the board. For over 14 years, she was employed as a General Manager for AMF Bowling Centers in Gulfport, Mississippi, Mobile, Tuscaloosa and Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Mickey was born in Huntsville, Alabama and was the daughter of the late William Carl Musgrove, Sr. and Iris June Brown-Loflin and the stepdaughter of John B Loflin. She is also preceded by her fur babies Ms. Kitty, Peppie and Sheba. Mickey leaves behind her loving husband, of 56 years, Ronald Dean Golden, Sr., a loving son Ronald Dean Golden, Jr. (Shirley), a grandson Justin Golden, her devoted friend and sissy Terry Fisher, and a brother, William Carl Musgrove, Jr.

Mickey was cremated and a private service will be held later. She was a loyal and devoted friend, and a personality everyone loved, young and old. She will truly be missed by all of us. An angel watches over us now.
