Irene was born February 3, 1939, in Sulligent, Alabama to the late Leroy Hollis and Annie Clair Coleman Hollis. She was a secretary for Rising Star Baptist Church and worked at Sulligent Elementary School and previously worked at McCoy Manufacturing. Irene enjoyed reading the Bible and was an avid Auburn fan. She was a member of Rising Star Baptist Church in Sulligent, Alabama.
Irene McKinney, age 80, of Sulligent, AL passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Generations of Vernon Nursing Home in Vernon, AL. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 12:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Gilmer Addition of Sulligent City Cemetery. Bro. Bud Glass to officiate.
