Mrs. Irene Glass, age 83, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019. Mrs. Glass was a Nurse Anesthetist and graduated from University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Center. She retired from The Surgery Center in Huntsville, Alabama. She loved Alabama football and enjoyed traveling with The Tide. She also was supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and a member of First United Methodist Church.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Bro. Duran Teague officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home.
Mrs. Glass is survived by Penny Glass Holcomb (Jarrod); sister, Geraldine Moore; nephews, Mark Moore (Wendy), Philip Moore, Tyler Moore, Judson Moore, and Joshua Moore; and Anna Catherine.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Glass; son, Barry Glass; and parents, Herbert and Clara Moore.
