Funeral service for Ira Jay Williams, 65, of Decatur, will be Friday, June 5, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Westmeade Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Scotty Hogan officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Williams died Monday, June 1, 2015, at UAB. He was born December 17, 1949, in Centerville, Iowa, to Jack Williams and Helen Drake Williams. He was an active member of Westmeade Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marguerite Sisk Williams; one son, Nathan Williams (Amanda), of Decatur; one brother, Ora “Buddy” Williams (Lola), of Lucerne, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
