Funeral services for Mrs. Imogene Stanfill, age 85, are scheduled for 11 AM, Thursday, December 12, 2013 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington with Bro. Bobby Beecham officiating. Interment will follow in Henderson County Memory Gardens. Mrs. Stanfill passed away Sunday in Jackson. She was born December 27, 1927 in Henderson County to the late Robert Cecil and Emma Bell Wood Woods. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Chester Jowers, a daughter, Mary Katherine Sanders, three brothers, Malcolm, Allen, and Eugene Woods, and two sisters, Vernell Bowman and Cleo Leonard. Survivors include her son, James Thomas Britt; two daughters, Emma Jean Dodd and Cynthia Ranae Ellis all of Jackson; eight grandchildren, Derek Brandon Renfroe, Bradley Ray Jowers, Regina Darlene Hand, Kimberly Dawn Childrey, Kevin Dale Wilson, Melissa Kay Rojas, Amanda Nicole Britt, and Amber Cornett; and thirteen great grandchildren.
