FLORENCE-The Florence-Lauderdale Public Library will be bringing the Summer Reading Program to you! This year, you will be exploring fairy tales, folklore, and oral tradition. The fun starts June 15!
What is the Summer Reading Program (SRP)?
Summer Reading is a fun way to keep kids, teens, and adults reading and learning through the summer! We can’t gather together at the library for programs just yet, but we still have lots of fun planned for you!
What Will This Year’s SRP Include?
BINGO cards for all ages.
Fill our your BINGO card by reading different kinds of books and partipating in library activities.
Fun Prizes!
Turning in your completed BINGO cards will enter you to win prizes!
This year, the focus on supporting local businesses, with lots of gift-certificate prizes.
Online Registration
On June 15, we’ll share our online registration form. You must register to be eligible to win prizes.
Virtual Programs
You’ll be able to join us online for fun programs each week!

Take-Home Activity Kits
You can still participate in hands-on fun with our take-home kits!
There wil be crafts, art projects, and other activities that you can complete at home. Not only will the kits be available to pick up at the library, but there will also be pick-up locations throughout Lauderdale County. It’s never been easier to participate in Summer Reading with FLPL!
Who Can Participate?
We’ll have four categories this year:
Children (ages 5-10)
Teens (ages 11-18)
Adults (18 and up)
Families (multiple ages, including children under 5)
When you fill out your registration form, you’ll simply choose which category you want to register for. There will be separate BINGO cards and prizes for each category.
