FLORENCE – The Shoals Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting celebration this week at Imagine That . It’s a new bakery, cafe’ and caterer on Court Street. Dana and Shawn Melton moved their restaurant from North Florence to the northern end of Court a couple of months ago and they are pleasing patrons daily with breakfast and lunch, dinner on two evenings each week, and a super Sunday Brunch.

“Imagine That is a delicious bakery, cafe, and catering service located in downtown Florence, Alabama. The cafe is the brainchild of Shaun and Dana Melton and a family affair that includes their daughters: Sarrah, Piper, and Keelyn.
The wonderful new bakery and cafe serves gourmet meals at traditional cafe prices. The owners are delighted to announce that in addition to their Monday through Friday breakfast and lunch service, they are now serving Sunday Brunch from 11 am to 2 pm, with a selection of wine and mimosas, as well as fresh baked bagels, muffins, eggs, bacon, and more.
Their lunch fare includes a glorious Bourbon burger, homemade hummus, and a crowd favorite, shrimp and grits. They bake wonderful homemade recipe breads, cookies, and cakes and provide catering services in addition to specialty cakes and cupcakes for birthdays, groom cakes, weddings, and special events, made to order.
Dana Melton is the baker who strives to source local produce and fruit for all of her sweet and savory dishes. She and her husband have grown up in the area and hope to make Imagine That Bakery & Cafe an integral part of the fabric of the Shoals. Currently, they carry several local product lines and are looking to add more in the future.”
