Ida Mae Walker, 86, of Huntsville died at home Saturday morning after a brief illness.
Mrs. Walker was a native of Rudyard, MI in Chippewa County, and a resident of Huntsville, AL in Madison County for 57 years. She operated a daycare out of her home for over 20 years and retired in 1985. She enjoyed gardening, bridge club and loved to talk about her 14 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William Lyman Walker and a son, Gary Bertram Walker.
Survivors include one son, Dale Stewart Walker (Marsha) of Toney, three daughters, Deborah Aurora Bolden and Lisa Annette Lammers (Rick), both of Hazel Green, and Sherry Lynn King (Russ) of Huntsville. She has two surviving siblings Florian Rabineau of Ste Sault Marie, MI and Earnest Rabineau of Attica, MI.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 24th at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Airport Road at 9:00 am with a funeral mass to follow at 10:00 am with Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville in charge of arrangements.
