Ida loved life! She was a Christian woman who loved the Lord and was a longtime member of Fairview Baptist Church. Her health prevented her from going to church in her latter years. An avid gardener, she loved growing vegetables, fruit, and flowers. She was a seamstress for many years. She made curtains for the church and Christmas costumes for the Christmas program at church. She did alterations for people in the community.
She worked for many years at Serbin Inc. making dresses. She retired from Montgomery Wards in Hammond, Indiana, and she taught Sunday School at Orchard Drive Baptist Church in Hammond. In 1996 she moved to Athens, Alabama.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jennings will be Thursday, June 30th, 2022, at 1:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Glenn Webber officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00am-12:45pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
