Ida Bennett, age 58 of Guntersville passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at her home.
Her funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2026 at Albertville Memorial Chapel. She will be laid to rest at New Hope Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Boaz. Bro. Mickey Perigo will officiate her service. Pallbearers will be Nathan Tackett, Joseph Smith, Eddie Wilson, Brandon Piper, Taylor Smith and Jason Goble. Dewayne Smith will serve as honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5:30 until 7:30 at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband; Wendell Bennett, daughters; Angel Tackett (Nathan) and Beth Brown-Smith, grandchildren; Samantha Tackett (Eddie Wilson), Jennifer Smallwood (Thomas), Gracie Tackett (Brandon Piper), Amandah Smallwood, Destiny Brown, Bailey Tackett and Weslee Smith and great-granddaughter; Nova Wilson. She is also survived by her siblings; Sam Smith (Liz), James Goble and Jerry Goble (Tina) and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Joe and Fay Goble, sons; Wesley Joe Bennett and Junior Wesley Bennett, sister; Annie Mae Abbott and brother; Homer Allen Smith.
