Husband Charged With Murdering His Wife In Madison County

MADISON COUNTY-At approximately 10:26 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, 2025, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting in progress in the 200 block of Steppe Court.

Upon arrival, deputies located a female victim inside the residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel from HEMSI and Madison County Fire provided immediate care on scene. The victim was transported to Huntsville Hospital in critical condition and was listed as priority zero upon arrival.

A male subject, identified as the victim’s husband, was also transported to the hospital due to pre-existing medical concerns. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit and Major Crimes detectives responded to process the scene. Preliminary findings indicate the incident appears to be domestic violence-related.
