He was born June 3, 1951, in Birmingham, AL to Hurdes Alexander Emerson, Sr. and Anita Jo (McCartt) Emerson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents: Steve & Lessie Emerson of Hartselle, John D. McCartt and Mildred Brakefield of Warrior.
