Huntsville Police Make Arrest In Human And Drug Trafficking Case

HUNTSVILLE-On Monday, May 19 around 11 a.m., HPD officers responded to a report of a possible runaway at a motel in the 3700 block of University Drive. Information received indicated the missing 14-year-old may have been with an adult male.

Officers quickly located the room in question and made contact with 35-year-old James Randall Bolden of Huntsville. Inside the room, they found the juvenile victim, along with two firearms, over 175 grams of methamphetamine, fentanyl and drug

paraphernalia.

An investigation by HPD’s Anti-Crime Team, Community Relations Officers and Special Victims Unit revealed that Bolden was supplying the victim with drugs and engaging in sexual activity with her.
He was arrested and booked into the Madison County Jail on the following charges:
◾Human trafficking first degree
◾Statutory rape second degree
◾Trafficking methamphetamine
◾Possession with intent to distribute
◾Possession of a controlled substance
◾Certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm
This case remains under investigation. We commend the swift and collaborative efforts of all officers involved.
Bolden is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
