Huntsville Man Dies In Single-Vehicle Accident In Madison County

HAZEL GREEN – The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident in Madison County has taken the life of one person and sent two other people t hospital:

“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 11:33 p.m. Friday, April 18, has claimed the life of a Huntsville man.

Clayton R. Moyers, 21, was fatally injured when the 1996 Ford Ranger that he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Moyers was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A passenger of the Ford, Matthew C. Smith, 20, of Hazel Green, was not using a seat belt at the time of crash, was ejected and transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. A second passenger of the Ford, Natalie G. Williams, 20, of Huntsville, who also was not using a seat belt at the time of crash, was injured and transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.

The crash occurred on Mitchell Moore Road near Bobo Section Road, approximately five miles northwest of Hazel Green, in Madison County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
