Hunter Ray Blankenship, student of University of Alabama in Huntsville, passed from this life Thursday, July 21, 2016 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. He was majoring in Atmospheric Science and attended Calvary Baptist Church. Hunter was his Mother’s Everything, Her Heart and Soul.

Visitation for Hunter will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, July 25, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. Officiating will be Noel Brooks, Trauma Unit Chaplain at UAB, Brent Gillespie, euology and prayer written by Witt Brown. Interment will be in Witt Family Cemetery.

Hunter is survived by his Mother, Kimberly “Kimbo” Beth Blankenship, Town Creek; his grandmother, Margaret Witt Blankenship, Town Creek; uncle, Lyndon “Lyn” Ray Blankenship and his wife, Shelley Ayers Blankenship, Hunter’s aunt; first cousins, Rylan Ayers, Journey Lynn Blankenship and Crimson Raye-Michelle Blankenship; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Hunter was preceded in death by his grandfather, Kenneth Ray Blankenship; great-grandparents, Miller and Eula Witt and Arthur and Mary Elizabeth Blankenship.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Witt, Ty Smith, Dillon Borden, Nick Benson, Diamonte Ray Gayden, Jonathon Hicks.

Honorary pallbearers will be Witt Brown, Parker Witt, Rylan Ayers, 2014 classmates of Hatton High School and his cousins.
