Hugh Lowry Callahan, 71, passed away August 22, 2013, at River City Care and Rehabilitation Center in Decatur.
Hugh was born and raised in Vineland, NJ. He was a Vietnam Veteran that served as a Submariner with the U.S. Navy. He worked 13 years at Oyster Creek Nuclear Power Station in Forked River, NJ. after which he was a Nuclear Consultant for various Nuclear Power Plants.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara, Trinity; three children, Eva Callahan, NJ, Jacinda Ralston, WY, and Hugh L. Callahan, NJ; sister, Maureen Callahan Ostdahl, PA.; four stepchildren, Bob Morone, AL, Bill Morone, PA, Tracey Carluccio, NJ, and Scott Morone, NJ.; fifteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Thank you to the entire staff at River City, and Hospice of the Valley for their care and compassion.
A celebration of Hugh’s life will be held in NJ at a later date.
