Hugh Dorsey Sullivan – Obituary

Hugh Dorsey Sullivan, 97, of Huntsville, born near Rome GA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday. Hugh was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Broadus and Ida Teat Sullivan, and his sister, Josephine B. Sullivan.

He served in the US Army and US Air Corp as a pilot with 50 bombing missions in Europe in World War II. He graduated from Georgia Tech as a mechanical engineer.

Hugh professed faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized at Southside Baptist Church, was a member of Calvary Bible Church and, later, Grace Bible Church, all in Huntsville.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Eloise Sullivan; daughter, Margie Sullivan Renegar; and son, Gary H. Sullivan, all of Huntsville; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Friday at Laughlin Service Funeral home, followed by the funeral with Jimmy Williams officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
