Hugh “Buck” Bowling – Obituary

Hugh “Buck” Bowling, 83, passed away on Saturday Feb. 27, 2016. A memorial service will be held at Old Brick Presbyterian Church at a later date with Carl Malm officiating.

Hugh was a native of Colbert County where he retired from TVA after many years of service. He was a member of Old Brick Presbyterian Church and a former member of Sheffield Kiwanis Club.

Hugh was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Helen Bowling, and brother, Charles Bowling.

He is survived by his wife Peggy Bowling; son, Tab Bowling (Sherry), of Decatur; daughter, Marcia Bowling (Marcus Alexander); brother, Brooks Bowling (Peggy); sisters, Barbara Kinane (Ed), of Chattanooga; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Bowling; grandchildren, Lindsey Upton (Ryan) and Katelyn Bowling; and great-granddaughter, Katherine Upton, all of Decatur.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. James Ashmore, Thomas Pennington, Jimmy Dodson, Kent Woods, Steve James, Lane Hester, Dana Hester, Jackie Gargis, Phil Gargis, David Gargis, Kenny Gargis, John Bowling, William Copeland, and Jimmy Beaver.
