Hugh B. Newell 83, of Haleyville, entered into rest on December 31, 2016 at DCH Regional Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Mr. Newell was born on June 27, 1933, in Haleyville, Alabama. He was a member of Liberty Grove Church and attended Phil Campbell High School. Hugh B. enjoyed fishing every chance he could.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 2pm at Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville. Brother Ronnie Marbutt will officiate.
He is survived by his wife, Lora Newell; son, Randy Newell; daughter, Marie Tucker; brothers, Orville Newell, Orman (Dean) Newell, Ralph Newell; sisters, Maryann (Richard) Norman, Sherry Spain, Irene Swallow, and 1 grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Exer Newell; sisters, Cora Mae Allison, Athel Kinard, Velma Beasley, Flora Smith and Bethany Pierce.
