Mr. Hubert Lee Cooper, age 100, of Rising Fawn, GA, passed away on November 8, 2021. He was born on October 12, 1921 in DeKalb County, Alabama to the late Johnny W. and Imo Azzie Lee Johnson Cooper. Mr. Cooper was a member of the Trenton Masonic Lodge #179. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in World War II. He retired from Combustion after 32 years and then worked over 20 years at Cooper Hosiery.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Friday at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Studdard officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.
He is survived by his son Larry Cooper; brother Edward Cooper; sister Virginia Strange; 7 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren with 3 more on the way.
He was preceded in death by his wife Elsie Cooper; children Winston Cooper and Sue McMahan; 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and his parents.
