Hubert E. "Hue" Callahan  Hubert Earl Callahan, age 86, passed away March 18, 2023 at Bentonville, AR.

He was born April 28, 1936 in Haleyville, AL, the son of the late Houston and Leora Holland Callahan. He moved to West Memphis, AR and then to Somerville, TN and was a graduated of Somerville High School.

He joined the TN National Guard and served four years.

He began working for his uncle making furniture in Somerville and then built his own business as an

Upholsterer and Interior decorator until he retired at age 75.

He married Shirley Ann Hurst on November 17, 1967. They made their home in Rogers, AR.

He was a fun-loving person and a hard worker.

He enjoyed western movies, ballroom dancing , shooting pool, country music, camping, hiking, boating, landscaping, carpentry, plumbing and doing yard work.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rogers, AR. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Callahan is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Hurst Callahan of Rogers, AR; a son, Shannon Callahan of Rogers, AR; three daughters, Stephanie Callahan Ellington (Donnie) of Pensacola, FL, Tammy Askew of Jackson, TN and Pamela Lax of Jackson, TN; three grandchildren, Tiffany Roughthon (Frank), Justin Clannon Callahan, Ladd Caldwell and Shawn Prater; and three great grandchildren, Ethan Roughton, Zane Roughton and Aiden Prater.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Willie Callahan, Roy Callahan and Ray Callahan and three sisters, Evon Callahan Glover, Evelyn Markel and Wilma Callahan.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 24th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Ronnie Geary officiating. Burial will follow at Cave Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday and 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Friday.
