Hoyat-Lusk-1469889960Hoyat Lusk, 82 of Arab Alabama died Friday July 29, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Lusk was born March 1, 1934 in Marshall County Alabama to Marvin Lusk and Velma Odessa Carter Lusk. He retired from Acme Steel in Chicago Illinois as a crane operator and moved to Arab in June of 1981. He began his second career with Wal-Mart and worked as an assistant manager until his retirement. Mr. Lusk also served in the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed music, hunting, fishing and motorcycles.
He was of the Protestant Faith.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Jackie Mae West Lusk; two sons and daughters-in-law: Dwayne and Belinda Lusk, Randy and Tamara Lusk; daughter: Theresa Lusk; five grandchildren: Kevin Lusk, Chris Lusk, Samantha Lusk, Skylar Keever, Anthony Lynn; three great grandchildren: Darian Lusk, Gavin Lusk and Allie Lusk. He was preceded in death by his father Marvin Lusk, his mother and step father: Velma and Felix Parkhill; two sisters: Virginia Parker and Pud Kelley.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday August 1, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brother: Gary Harvell officiating. Burial will be in Brookwood Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Darrel Page, Anthony Lynn, Don Young, Sam Singleton, Wayne Lee and Ron King.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday August 1, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
