Howard Glover, age 102, passed away Sunday, March 15th, 2015 at Shoals Hospital. Mr. Glover lived all his life in Cherokee, AL and was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of Cherokee.
The funeral services will be Tuesday, March 17th, 2015 at Morrison Funeral Home in Cherokee with burial in Barton Cemetery. Officiating will be Bro. Scott Livingston. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. followed by service in the chapel.
Mr. Glover is preceded in death by wife, Susie Mae and daughter, Linda Sockwell; his parents and siblings.
He is survived by daughter, Judy Harrell (Bubba); half-sister, Loretta Moore; nephew, Wayne Hyde; grandchildren, Lisa Brashier (Roy), Keith Sockwell (Ann), Shannon Harrell and Brent Harrell (Ashlee); great grandchildren, Chad and Nathan Sockwell, and Malloree Harrell; great-great grandchildren, Kendrick Cross and Cade Sockwell.
Pallbearers will be Terry Burcham, Paul Malone, Jimmy Tapp, Jack Wallace, Gerald Wallace and Jackie Collum. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Bridges and Gilmore White.
