Howard Eugene Henson, 79, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018. Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, from noon-2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Brother Bill Smith officiating. Burial will be in Isbell Chapel Cemetery.
Howard was a native of Colbert Heights and served in the Alabama National Guard for 13 years. He was the owner and operator of Henson Construction Company and a member of the Colbert Heights First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burton and Ollie Henson; brother, Bobby Ray Henson; and nephews, Bradley Keith Stewart and William Burton Malone.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Janey Henson; sons, Kenny Dell Henson (Diane), Dean Howard Henson, Frank Eugene Henson (Kenya), Zac Burton Henson (Christy), Zeb Barton Henson (Christy), and Zane Thomas Henson; daughters, Joni Lynn Clevenger, Jennifer Lynn Charuhas (Jimmy), and Jill Rena Alsbrooks (Mike); brother, Jerry Little Henson (Carol); sister, Patsy Henson Malone; 19 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Colbert County Foster Parents Association.
