Houston Laymond “Butterfly” Blair, age 87, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. He was a native of Westpoint, TN, retired Janitor from E. O. Coffman Middle School, and a member of Westpoint Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pat and Lois Smith Blair; one son, William Cecil Blair; four brothers, Bill Blair, Carl Blair, Marcus Blair, and Joe Blair; one sister, Doris Glaze; and one granddaughter, Tonya Liles.
He is survived by three daughters, Sherry Wallace, Rita Jones, and Carol Jones, all of Lawrenceburg, TN; one brother, Bobby Blair of Dayton, OH; two sisters, Sarah Avery of Dayton, OH and Lizzie Jordon of Lawrenceburg, TN; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM Saturday, August 01, 2020 at Neal Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at Mt. Ararat Cemetery at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 01, 2020, with James Scruggs officiating.
