Hortense G. Howard, 103, of Ardmore, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at her home. She was born Thursday, January 15, 1914 in Booneville, Mississippi to the late Starlin and Mary Garner. She was a member of Cash Point Baptist Church.
Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her husband, David V. Howard of Prospect, TN, her son, Isaac “Ike” Howard of Mt. Juliet, TN, and her great-grandson, Dawson Creager of Geneva, FL.
Her surviving children are Harriette Brown of Ardmore, TN and David B. “Sonny” Howard of Rogersville, AL. She was lovingly known as Meet Mommy to her five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Prospect Cemetery at 1:00P.M. with Bro. Derrick Moose officiating.
